Do any of you have experience with the 12" FSP rail? Is it a solid piece? I want to keep my FSP and can't decide between the centurion or the DD rail. I feel that both are quality pieces but just looking for some guidance from people that have handled both.

Thanks for y'all's time

Both rails are very robust, but I do like the Centurion rails over Daniel Defense. I do have a Lite Rail on one of my rifles and don't plan on changing it, but in the future I'll be continuing to use Centurion. Very light weight, solid feeling, easy to install, and like the profile of the rail.

Not the FSP, but I have a C4 carbine rail on one rifle and an RIS II M4A1 on another, you really can't go wrong with either. I like the profile of the RIS II a little more, with the bottom rail being closer to the bbl. (Of course, it depends on which DD series you are talking about, in that regard.) The fact that the Centurion uses the standard bbl nut and wrench is nice, so if you're replacing an existing rail/handguard, not only do you save a little money between the two (RIS II FSP vs C4 FSP) you also save a little money not needing to buy another wrench.

I'll follow this post since I'm looking to add a Centurion C4-FSP to my LMT. I hope a member can provide some user feedback.

Is it a solid piece?

It's two pieces. I have one on my Colt. No experience with the DD rail although the Centurion is incredibly easy to install compared to the DD.

I had a DD fsp rail on my LMT, and I have a Centurion mid length fsp rail on my BCM. The Centurion is a nice piece of kit and is very solid and that is my choice between the 2.

I have a 12" Centurion fsp on my BCM carbine and a DD Omega 12" fsp on my Colt carbine. I bought the DD first and have been happy with it. It is solid. The Centurion profile is circular vs the DD which is more oblong from top to bottom. I like the feel of the C4 profile better, plus it is slightly lighter, and the installation requires no proprietary nut or wrench to install. It also can be installed on a 14.5" barrel with a permanently attached muzzle device without sacrificing the muzzle device. I give a slight advantage to the C4 vs the DD Omega. I have no experience with the DD lite.

The C4 12.0 FSP is THE solution for a pinned muzzle device setup like my wife's rifle - and it's great.

The Lite and OmegaX in the same (almost) configuration are a touch lighter (no FSP, DD Fixed fronts), and the C4 has the roundest profile out of the three, although I've taken a liking to the really narrow OmegaX profile personally, my wife and anybody else who's handled the three prefers the Centurion.

All three of these are wearing LT IC's and hand stops with 12:00 light mounts.

I had a C4 FSP and it is very well made. I have no experience with the DD FSP rail however they make great stuff. Only reason I got rid of the C4 was weight, however I think it is lighter than the DD model.

I am thinking of switching my DD Omegas for 7"C4 rails as I like the profile a little better.

I own two of them, not FSP cutout, but my buddy does.

The Centurion rail locks up solid. One of my favorite rails out there, and with the price under $400, it makes it a no brainer.

Not tryin to knock DD rails, but Jesus Christ.....how.

Im not a big fan of the FSP Cutout, but its the same as my 10" or 9".

My buddys' Centurion FSP Cutout.
