What's a good qd end plate sling mount that fills the gap between the buttstock and lower receiver? Not really digging the space underneath the castle nut when the buttstock is at the min. position.

Daniel Defense also makes such a QD endplate, but it's aluminum whereas the Noveske is steel.

Found this one on Bravo. Not sure how it's different from Noveske. Limited rotation perhaps, hence, the "moon" lip?
ETA: out of stock. Still interested though...

EDIT: actually the Troy QD endplate is near exact to what i'm looking for. thx
this might fit the bill. does the tango down qd endplate interfere w/ the stock when collapsed to its minimal setting? and does it replaces the castle nut? TIA

Do you want something for looks, or for function?

Form over function is for Harley Davidsons and Japanese tuner cars. Most are inclined to prefer function over form on a combat firearm.

Not entirely true for Japanese tuner cars. There are those that prefer form over function and those that prefer function over form, just like in the firearm world. See TOS vs m4c/lightfighter.

Having had a import tuning phase, my car was always function over form. I did the equivalent of taking formal carbine classes - "high performance driving education" at more than a few different race tracks across Socal. I was far from being alone in that regard, but I of course saw a lot of people who put on neon lights, vinyl stickers, and coffee can exhausts without any intention of actually driving the car. They just wanted it to turn heads.

Anyway, back on topic. I've found the Noveske QD end plate kind of interferes with my firing hand grip, especially with the backstrap found on grips like the Magpul moe. But I do run the Noveske end plate on both my lowers, I just deal with it when I run a single point sling. Which is basically never.

perhaps i need to go to a lgs and test/fit. i just dont like the gap the castle nut leaves between the lower receiver and buttstock collapsed. would prefer the qd points on the left and right side, just not at the bottom since it appears to interfer w/ the buttstock.

You could always just get a Magpul UBR?

I don't get it. How are you going to avoid that gap? It's either going to be the castle nut or the sling attachment ring, or both.

Have you considered attaching your sling to the back of the stock and skipping the endplate as attachment point altogether?

This thread has become silly and not really part of the M4C theme. If you want looks then this is the wrong place. If you want functionality then this is for you. Since it would seem that advice has been offered and you aren't really happy I say it's time we put this to rest.
