SIG P220 SAO conversion

I have a 15 year old P220. Is it possible to purchase the SAO parts from SIG and install them on my pistol?

I do not believe so. The frame has to be cut differently to allow the parts to fit.

The only P220 I've seen that could be converted from TDA to SAO was a special prototype made as a possible entry to the fabled (some might prefer "imaginary") US Military JCP trial.

I wasnt sure either. I know the new DAK parts will not work in the older frames.

If you could find a gunsmith that would recut the frame window to match the new style frames you could then make it SAO, DAK or DA/SA. I don't know of any gunsmith doing this.
