I'm in need of one holster for the four pistols I own: Browning Buckmark, Glock 17, CZ 75, and Ruger SR1911.

I just want a holster that will do the job of being on me at the range so I can easily holster which ever pistol I am shooting after I empty the magazine.

My needs...

- Must be able to fit the pistols mentioned above and hold them relatively securely. I will not be running around while the pistol is holstered.
- Conceal ability is not a factor here
- Magazine pouch preferred
- Material that will not mark up or scratch my pistols too bad (nylon the best bet here?)
- Simple design
- Under $60

Some quick ideas include the following...

-Blackhawk Nylon Hip Holster http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum7358.php

- Uncle Mikes Nylon Hip Holster http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum2500.php

- Uncle Mike's Sidekick Ambidextrous Hip Holster http://www.midwayusa.com/product/996...el-nylon-black

- Blackhawk Nylon Hip Holster with Thumb Break http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum7325.php

- Tactical Tailor Low Profile http://www.lapolicegear.com/tact-lph.html

^^^ This one has my eye the most at the moment ^^^

These are just ideas, guys. Help me out.

Ohhh Dear Lord.

So you've got around $2000 worth of pistols that you want to put into a $20 holster?

Read some stickies and spend some money on a quality holster please.

What he said.
A holster is a solid part of your whole weapon system. Its a sling for your handgun. You don't swap slings in between different long guns, do you? No, they're relatively cheap compared to the guns, and depending on the gun's use, different features are more desirable.

Do yourself a favor.

So you are suggesting I get a holster specific to each pistol I own?

I'm new to holsters. I've always put the pistol down on the table after shooting, but since I am going to carry in the future, I wanted to get used to the feel of a holster.

No. I'm suggesting that you get at least 1 holster for each gun that you'd carry. Carry guns need a gun-specific holster, for security as well as comfort. Do some shopping, search this forum, try a buddy's. A good holster will affect the gun's security, its accessibility, and its concealability. Don't cheap out.

I was going to suggest that you take a look at Tactical Tailor or Eagle Ind, but if you want to get a holster to get used to the draw for CCW carry, you'd be way better off just getting a good concealable holster now.

Many folks just starting out in the holster world end up with a box or drawer full of worthless crap. The above choices would be an excellent move toward that endeavor. Honestly they are ALL shit. Buy real, and yes, firearm specific holsters.

As someone with a box full of holsters I dont use... Do your research! Get a high quality holster specific to that firearm and specific to the way you wanna carry it.

My favorites are Safariland, Galco, or a well known and reviewed kydex holster maker. My CC holster these days is a White Hat MaxTuck IWB. I love it... White Hat Holsters (http://www.whitehatholsters.com/MaxTuck-IWB-Hybrid-Holster-Natural-Horsehide-p/natural-tan-horse.htm). With the White Hat you can buy different kydex molds for each gun and switch them out on the same leather backing. Saves money on holsters and it's kinda what I think your looking for.

If your set on a multi gun holster I'll sell you my Tactical Tailor Modular Light Holster in coyote brown for $10...

The tactical tailor low pro holster is perfectly fine to just carry any of those on the range. Is it a CC holster? No. I used it in Afghanistan to carry my M9 around the FOB.
