Just about to pick up my Rainier match upper and lower for an SPR build, but I am not sure what route or parts I want to go with. This will be for long range fun, predators, and possible deer. So I want to see yours with added commentary. Might make this a dedicated SPR thread for others to get ideas.

Also: add what would be better for a stock. Carbine, fixed rifle, or A5?

Thanks in advance.

A5 with EMOD/ACS or UBR. Both work well with mine. Check through that thread for other ideas.

Depends on your usage.

I went with a plain ole A2 as I won't be deploying out of vehicles in any high-speed low-drag fashion, like the long length of pull (I'm tall with gorilla arms), and prefer its simplicity over the bigger, heavier Magpul PRS.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the comment and observation. I think I am going for a carbine stock for the adjust-ability, possibly another UBR since the one I have works VERY well, but I am still tickling the idea of a VLTOR just to try one.

I ran my A4 BCM today and had my confirmation after having cheek wield issues running optics. The UBR is more comfortable in prone, supported.

Here is the thread on mine.

I like the Emod and have switched to an H3 with blue Springco spring. It's a carbine gas instead of mid. I have the A5 on an SBR and am very pleased but see no reason to use it in this rifle.

I thought I read somewhere that the only reason early Mk12's had fixed stocks was because they were immediately available for service.
