Hey All,

I just purchased a new Colt LE6920, but I really do not like the new stocks they are coming with. They come with this "Rogers SuperStock" which looks alright, but I like the old Colt Military Style Stock much better. Does anybody have an extra Old Style Colt Stock or willing to trade for the this one? What do you guys think?

I use USGI style stocks on my rifles as well because they are familiar and comfortable. You'll get a much better trade offer on the EE.

I do not personally care for the superstocks at all. It's not that they are a bad stock per se, rather, they are heavy and unwieldy in my opinion.

I tried to post on the EE but the stupid thing won't let me. I just joined m4carbine.net perhaps that is why?

Yes you need 30 posts IIRC. Just add some constructive thought to the community and you'll be there.

Also you can buy one from BCM in the mean time, and sell the Rogers later.

I replaced my rogers with a colt N1 (car15) stock. They are a bit tougher to find, but are out there. If you like that style instead Cav Arms makes a repro that is OK from what I've heard if you don't want to search for an original.....

Thanks Split66, Can I just buy the stock and slap it on the current tube the rogers stock is on, or do I have to buy a whole new assembly? please advise

The colt is a standard mil spec tube. You are good to go with any mil spec stock. ( cheaper commercial ARs have a different size tube )

Since you are new make sure you read the following, great info here.

Am I the only one who likes the Rogers Stock better than the USGI? I find I can get a much better cheek weld with it versus the M4 stock, though I will admit it is by far one of the ugliest stocks I have ever seen. Also nineteenkilo, the Rogers Super-stoc is actually lighter than the USGI M4 so I don't know why you would call it heavy, unwieldy maybe, but not heavy.

Do you still have the original stock? I will trade you for my new rogers stock

Afraid not. Shouldn't really be too hard for you to get a trade offer in the EE and you're already a third of the way to what you need to post there.

Perhaps the unwieldiness makes it seem like it is. I haven't weighed them or anything.
