I'm thinking about getting a Pelican Hardigg case. Anyone have any experience with this case system? My concern or question is which is better, a standard Pelican case with the foam inside or the Pelican Hardigg field pack that is a Pelican case with a soft carry pack inside?

I have a couple and they work pretty well. It can get a little heavy loaded down but I have my AR with 6 mags and a pistol with a few mags I also keep in there. I think it's the iM3100 I have loaded out. My 1720 is used to travel to the range and back.

Good cases, good latching mechanisms. I like the latches better than normal Pelicans.

I used to swear by Peli but the Hardigg Storm cases have come on leaps and bounds in recent years. I much prefer the latest latches over the Peli ones too. They're a tad lighter too or at least they feel lighter.

All-in, it's personal preference (and price point). Forced to choose? Hardigg Storm.
