Hi all, quick question for ya: what would your ideal SBR project look like? I don't care what sort of freefloat quardrail you'd use, or furniture, just the meat and potatoes of the gun. Are midlength gas systems ever used often in SBR AR's? What barrel length would you go for?

I've shot shorty m4s and KISS m4s for work, my mental notes on them aren't too detailed tho. I just know my AR I've put together for myself, while it shoots great in prone or supported positions, feels like a sign post when I'm shootin and scootin and doing things offhand. So I'm throwin down on something more comfortable.

I'm not gun crazy, and a lot of specs and what not don't stick with me. I think most of the m4s I've handled professionaly had 14.5 in barrels, 1/7 twist rates. I'd like to go shorter than that, but not so short that I am limited to only cqb accuracy. Is there a happy medium in shorter m4 barrels that will still lend "all around" accuracy out to 3-400m.
