I picked up a used Sears Roebuck-branded Marlin 336 a while ago for a great price. It works like a charm except for one small detail that I didn't notice until after I bought the gun...whoever previously owned the gun apparently never heard of Loktite and peened the exposed end of the bolt with a centerpunch. Is there any way I can remove this bolt without drilling it out and destroying the threads in the receiver? I ordered some pure wintergreen oil to use as a penetrating oil at the suggestion of a friend with considerable amateur gunsmithing knowledge as an intial try. Waiting to have this delivered.
