All,
To those of you using the new V7, how are you attaching a sling to the tube handguard? Pictures of the rifle don't show a lot of detail as to how to mount a sling. Thank you for your input.

Use one of the short pieces of picatinny rails and attach one of these on it:

That's what I'm doing on mine. I just moved the rail section closer to the receiver from it's original position.

Would attaching the QD socket to the top rail be a valid option?
That's what I did with my tubular rail.

While I don't that rifle, I do have the rail. Here's what I did:

It's pretty easy to do and less bulky than adding rail plus sling mount.

Easy and lite.

Another option is an RSA on the top rail....

Another option is an RSA on the top rail....

That's what I've got, mainly because my Emdom Gunslinger was already set up with an HK hook up front. It works well enough for an easy solution but eventually it will be replaced with a flush mount QD.

I use the Fortis Rail Attachment Point. I would prefer it to be on the side at the bore line but being mounted to the side of the top rail hasn't caused any problems just feels a little different when hanging.

I'm using a railess QD socket made for the TRX rail. Fits perfectly on my v7 MFR.

I like the idea of the IWC mount out of all the other choices. I have used IWC components before on 2 of my other ARs and really like the system. Thanks everyone for input, looks like IWC will be getting my money. Now, I just have to get the rifle.......:)

I'm using the IWC Mount-N-Slot QD mount (http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/qd-rotation-limited-mount/) installed just forward of the receiver on the left side of the tube. I've also stripped all of the rail sections off my tube and simply use the IWC Weapon Control Mount Hand Stop (http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/weapon-control-mount/) forward instead of a shorty vertical grip. With an X300U and DD fixed front sight, this setup is very simple and light and has worked well on my DDM4V7 LW.
