Made this today along with a rolling welding table that I'm using as a worktable until I get a metal cover on it.

Got some treated to build a deck and bought a little extra and a solid door slab.

The shooting table came from what was left over from my workbench against the wall, I bought a new one for my rolling work table.

Thanks. The legs for the shooting table are 6x6's that I've had laying around for 20 years, they were the posts I cut off when me and my son built the pole barn when he was in high school. I don't throw much away I guess.

The table isn't as heavy as I thought it would be, me and my wife can pick it up. I need to varnish the top.

Found a piece of carpet from an old project and put it on, then got some treated scraps out of the scrap pile and made a seat.

I used a 5 gallon bucket and kept adding lumber to it and sitting on it to find the height. Tested for height with my deer shotgun in a lead sled and the first ar that popped out of the safe with a 30 round mag resting on the table.

Nice. I went with a more conventional design, but I like the way yours came out. This one won't be permanently mounted, it has wheels on the front so it can be moved around on the line wheelbarrow-fashion, or out of the way for mowing and storage.

That is very nice! I'm saving that pic if you don't care in case I decide to build another one. I was working from mostly leftovers.

I didn't use wheels, I can tilt mine up by myself and use a 2 wheel cart to move it if I want. That's how I got it outside. It's not easy but I can move it.

Hmac, do you mind posting or pm'ing me the height of the table and height of the seats?
I'd take all of the dimensions if you're willing.

Ditto. When I start putting my range together next spring, that looks like it would make a nice addition.

A couple of observations:

-The top decking is 5/4 treated decking. It's sealed with a preservative and stood up well over the summer, but if I were doing it again, I'd consider using composite decking. Light colored decking, however. That stuff in the usual darker shades can get uncomfortably hot.

-If I were doing it over, I'd probably make the side extensions 18" instead of 9". The left side works fine for left handed rifle shooting, but if it were wider, a right-handed shooter could shoot a rifle on a rest from the left side.

-Not shown in the photo is the board with multiple notches on end that is screwed across the front top plate to act as a rifle rack so that multiple rifles can be leaned against the front without them falling over. Also, the right shooting side has a socket drilled in it to accept a post for a tripod mount for a spotting scope.

-The height of the legs is designed to go 9 inches into the ground. I ended up cutting 9 inches off so it would sit on the ground and be able to be moved. As I mentioned, I put a couple of 6 inch wheels on the front legs so it could be easily wheeled around. It is still sufficiently stable for the shooting we do. If I were a dedicated bench rest shooter, I guess I'd have made the legs out of 6x6 treated and sunk the whole thing into concrete.

Thank you very much. I'm going to be constructing an elevated shooting platform next spring and I wanted to incorporate a bench like this into the design. This is made to order.
