Soft AK Carrying Case

I looked for a carrying case for my AK a couple of years ago and just had to give up. All gun stores I looked at had cases that had mag pouches for AR’s, and would not work for the curved 30 round AK mags. Does anyone make a soft carrying case that has mag pouches that are designed to take the 30 round AK mags?

Eagle Industries makes a few AK cases, I've never used/seen them, but all of the other Eagle products I've used have been top notch.

You can always buy a molle case and buy some mag pouches and your should be good to go.

I bought a nice shotgun case for the AK that had huge side pockets on both sides of the case that worked perfectly. It was a little long for the AK, but other than that, it was perfect... Then I bought a shotgun, so I’m looking for something with a pocket big enough to store the mags in. Doesn’t necessarily have to be side mag pouches.

That’s a nice looking case. No where does it really say the mag pouches will actually take the 30 round AK mags. That zippered pouch on the side would be excellent for carrying mags. One strong negative to me is that the zipper for the case is on the bottom when carrying by the handle. I bought a case like that once without realizing the zipper was on the bottom, and not on the top where it should be and I returned it for that reason.

That’s a good idea, but maybe a little overkill for what I need. I’ll have to digest that idea.

I’ve seen those before, but I’d rather have the zipper on top where the handle is.

I’ve recently tried and found out that the 30 round AK mags actually fit the mag pouches on my AR case, but I’d like to have something different for my AK. I find it hard to believe that cases made specially for the AK aren’t out there seeing as how popular the AK is. Just as popular as the AR in many peoples opinions. Should be good AK cases out there. I don’t keep the mags in the gun when not in use, so I don’t need a real tall case. Just one with pockets that will take the AK mags and I only own two mags and don’t see the need for more. Could be mag pouches, or just large side pockets on a regular case.

Bringing this thread back as I’m still looking for a soft case built with the AK-47 in mind. The case I ordered arrived today, and will not work at all, so I’m sending it back.

Dude, just go with the molle bag. You won't regret it.
