Hi All,

I just did my first trigger swap on my AR to the aforementioned one.

My question is on the lube points of the sear it says use grease if available, I only have a clp. I remember the guy who makes it saying the grease he makes is only really needed for machine guns and that his clp is fine for all other lubing applications.

Will this suffice or do I need grease for a break in period? The trigger pull feels fine to me.

Thanks for any help and I did search but found nothing.

You really don't need to put anything on there. But whatever you have is fine.

Grease is more valuable on the SSA triggers and such.

I personally use aeroshell 6 or 7 (my preference is for 7) on any trigger I work on. It stays put well and has a very high EP additive content. Geissele sends a small tube of aeroshell 6 with all of their triggers.

I am never a fan of running a trigger unit dry...even if all you use is CLP, hit it with something slippery every once in a while and you'll be fine.

I'll try to get something on the pins on a brand new GI trigger. I didn't see any improvement on my ALG with grease on the engagement surfaces though. :(

I have found that nickle Never Seez is slipperier than grease

I lubed the engagement surfaces with the stuff I have.

Once again thanks!

I put a tiny dot of Honda 60% moly grease on the contact area between the sear and hammer. Smooth like buttah.
