Hi I am thinking about making my first AR-15 and saw the larue stealth upper and was wondering if anyone on here has one and could give me their personal review of all the pro and cons about it?

Are you talking about a stripped upper receiver or a completed one from LaRue?

i own a complete stealth larue gun in 12 inches, and it gives me 1 moa with black hills 77gr blue box. i am not a good bench shooter though, so you can probably expect tighter groups.

If you want those handguards, they're great accurate uppers.

I meant the complete upper receiver. I read the reviews that are posted on the site I was wondering if everyone thinks the same about them.

I would spend the extra $500 and get a complete LaRue 16" PredatAR 5.56....

But you will wait a loooong time for it.

I have a 16/11 (complete) running on an LT lower. It is reliable across the spectrum of ammo I use with a carbine buffer, and finicky with some loads with an H buffer. Accuracy is sub-MOA with match loads. It's a Wylde chamber, but 5.56 NATO reliable with no pressure or function issues.

The worst that I can say is that it's heavier than I prefer, but still quite usable. I like mine.

I will second that they are heavy. Good stuff though.
