I went by two local gun stores last week and a pawn shop yesturday. All three were filled to the teeth with cheap ARs (Stags, Bushmasters, DoubleStars, etc) at ridiculous (for what they are) prices.
One shop in particular is run by such assholes that I loved every second of seeing it's long gun shelves just full of DPMS ARs. To their credit they had two Colts. Also tons of 870 Expresses. Everything marked up of course. I commented that it sure doesn't look like 2008 and got a sneer :)
I don't care if the crazies bought in 2008 and don't need any more, or if the idiots that filled their safes with stripped stag lowers and PMags learned their lesson about panic buying and trying to exploit others. But it definitely does not seem even 1/10th as bad as 2008.
I know Colts have a waiting list on new orders right now and good BCGs might be tough to find. But still NOTHING like 2008. Hooray!
