long story short ......there was a big mix up. google didn't help much.

one is a suspected SW performance center sear (polished)

the other should be an apex sear that comes with the fss trigger kit. i think they call it a "hard sear".

if you can positively ID either one of thees sears as the apex sear or performance center SW sear.....it would save me lots of head aches. thank you.

nono. the gun came used from a buddy. it was an m&p pro with a fss trigger. it came with the original parts some of which he polished. that means the original pc sear should be the polished one but im not sure. i will spare you how i mixed thees up but they are pretty different in shape and really want to get the apex back i the gun.

If its anything like my 2 of each samples, the shinier one is the S&W, and the duller one is Apex. Reason I say that is the upper engagement surface on the S&W sear was more of a pronounced hook, while the Apex was almost rounded.

My apex sears have always givin me more of a rolling break, rather than the distinct break. I attributed that to the different engagement surface.

The more bronze sear (on the left in 3 out of 4 pics) looks very similar to the apex sear I recently installed in an M&P Pro in both color and shape.

*My sear was not part of the FSS kit*

whoops, sorry. i meant to keep my suspect apex on the right side in all pictures. my suspect apex is the darker one. ... appears on the right in all pictures except first one.

so you think my apex is the shinny polished one???

The link with the FSS kit that bobsolla posted makes it very clear which one is which. If you look at the profile, you will notice that the blued (darker) sear in your pictures matches the Apex FSS kit picture. The rounded profile on the lateral leg gives it away. The other sear, the S&W PC one, has a dog leg in it.

well this has been embarrassing. i will spare you the long boring story of how this mix up happened. either way. darker sear....back in the gun. trigger feels great. dark one was defiantly apex. thanks for the help guys.
