Great job. Be careful when you set it down to water a tree. You may loose it.:)

Looks great, tell us the details what paint did you use?
What method to get your pattern?

Thanks guys. This was painted with Duracoat and I used a few stencils from airsick stencils along with a few hand-cut stencils as well...

I've been painting a different version of this for a while but switched it up a bit and am really liking the outcome. No two are ever the same, I just start working stuff in until I feel it looks 'right'. Fun stuff anyway!

That looks great.
It's a unique pattern and blends really well.

Nice job. I am looking at it on my phone, but that first pic definitely took me a while.

How has the Duracoat held up for you?
I have thought about trying it but dont know how good of a job that I could do.

Awesome paint job on an awesome M70! What caliber?

I'm surprised you didn't color it high vis orange.

I've been duracoating for about 3 years now and most of my work has held up pretty well. I had one botched job (luckily my brothers rifle) where the paint started to 'flake' off the barrel, but that was before I was utilizing a sandblaster on all of my projects. I've done my personal hunting rifle along with most of my family/friends (hard use hunting rifles in Alaska) and it's done really well. I do think that cerakote is likely a better product, but without baking, the duracoat is pretty darn tough, from what I've seen.

I know! Talk about a sick to your stomach feeling! This M70 is in 300WM. Funny thing, I actually bought some blaze orange duracoat on my last order :dance3:

Thanks, gents! Yes, I use an Iwata HP-CS for pretty much everything...
