Hi Everyone, I am looking at doing a Mid Length Build and can get a Good Deal on a Saber Def. Mid Length, I have a few Questions.
1. How is the Quaility of the Barrel Steel?
2. Quaility on there recivers?
3. Price wise how do they Stack up?
4. Anyone use PK Firearms?

Thanks

It's the only midlength I'd buy.

I have no experience with PK however.

I have a SD mid length - very happy with it.

One order from PK - no problems.

1. Sabre Defense uses the same barrel steel in their M4 barrels as they do in their USGI contract .50 M2 barrels. Good enough for me.

I can't think of another manufacturer (Colt included) that stamps Lot Numbers on their barrels. To me, this is a good sign.

Hey Guys thanks for the Info. I also looked over the other thread. I called them this afternoon and was Impressed with the Answers I was given.

I like that too. I don't know if it means a damned thing. But it implies that there's some kind of quality traceability.

Same here. I bought a new Sabre midlenght 1/7 barrel from Hawkeye and had Denny at GTS put it on a CMT upper with a Larue forearm. It is literally the most accurate chrome-lined AR barrel I have ever owned:

I have had good luck with PKfirearms, fast shipping, great CS.

I believe that PK builds the uppers themselves, the Sabre upper i have is a Sabre 20" gov't profile barrel (1/7 twist, chrome lined, 5.56, F height FSB, M4 feedramps, etc etc) built on a CMT M4 upper.

It is very accurate and the first day out it ate a few hundred rounds of XM193 without a single problem....

Saber has picked up quite a bit of respect in the industry and among shooters. I've been touting the merits of Saber for a few years now since some SWAT units I work with in Utah picked some up.

Good stuff
