Did a little bit of research but couldn't find anything on the Scorpion (http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/86-law-enforcement-military/OS-AUT/CZ_SCORPION_EVO_3_A1.aspx) on this forum. So I went ahead and emailed cz-usa themselves and they had this to say:

I responded with a second question if he could guess what the MSRP would be if released next year, but he was unable to answer due to them only selling the rifle via contracts and in which case they are confidential. I've not seen enough videos of this weapon system but I sure as hell would love to get my hands on one of these, hopefully before 2017. I believe this would be a huge competitor to the KRISS Super Vector 45 ACP (http://www.kriss-usa.com/products/carbines/vector-crb-45-acp) as it can fire 9mm cartridges and 7.62s, making it versatile and even (possibly) cheaper when paying your bills for ammunition. But I can't make a direct comparison w/out hands-on experience or MSRP...

Here are the PDF links to their brochures of the weapon and its models:

Someones been playing some Black Ops. The weapon looks neat, the potential to fire 7.62 does make it more attractive than the Kriss, although I would like to see some reliability and functionality tests.

Considering the pedigree, I would be very disappointed if there was a problem with either reliability or function. It's a CZ Scorpion in the end, and it must live up to that name and the related expectations.

Sorry, but I have to say I took offense to that. I don't play Call of Duty. If you're are going to bring up video games then I suggest you to go to a video games forum and not play around on these threads, thank you. :nono:

And for functionality tests, I suggest you go do your "do-diligence". My thread here is to suggest and promote any insight one might have on the CZ Scorpion EVO.

Haha I meant no offense I was basing it off of your Ghost Recon Emblem, figured you were a gamer.

I've shared all I needed on the Scorpion. The only thing we can do is wait for more information. Until then I will do my best to keep this thread updated.

Civil,
Ctrl + didn't work for me (maybe because I am on my iPad). Could you repost CZ's reply? I am interested in seeing any updated info since the last time I emailed them earlier this year, they said they had no plans to sell it in the US to civilians. Hopefully that has changed and they will bring it to US soon. Anyway glad to see I am not the only one interested in the CZ. Hopefully they will also bring the CZ 805 BREN to the US market also.

Thanks and saw the bad news that the earliest they were thinking is 2017. Maybe they can figure out how to bring the 805 sooner.

Yes, that part of the news made my heart sink pretty quickly. :(
From what I've seen the functionality of the thing look amazing I want to test that thing out or at least see first hand how it handles against it's SMG/PDR competitors.

It is Slovakian Laugo, that CZ bought rights to and redesigned slightly before starting production. It has nothing in common with "real" Scorpion, just like CZ S805 BREN has nothing in common with "real" Bren. Both names are just marketing trick to hook up new products to known and well regarded one.

That being said, Scorpion seem to be good SMG. We can buy semi-auto ones for "mere" $2000 here. My friend got some in select fire and seem to be happy with them.
