So I finished the semi build last week and finally got around to taking some pictures.
Everything went together very well and the upper/lower mated up nicely. No play at all. I want to thank everyone here who has either given me info or information I got from just reading on the forum. Very much appreciated.

Parts List:
Upper - Complete: Rifle gear - 4150 chrome-lined cold hammer forged barrel parked under the FSB 1:7 and tapered pins in the FSB(Made by DD), full-auto bolt carrier group and charging handle (BCG Made by DD), HP and MPI tested barrel and bolt 599.00

Lower: Mega Arms Gator 120.00
LPK: Daniel Defense 89.00

And then another 100.00 for a Magpul MOE stock, hand guard, pistol grip and Mil-Spec buffer, spring, etc (package deal I could not pass up)
Magpul MBUS 60.00

So, total without shipping is 970.00 1093.00 with shipping and a couple of mags

Have to throw in the Cajuns swag "New Orleans Bowl 2012"

Looking good. Any plans for an optic?

Looking good. Any plans for an optic?

I have a few friends who work at the local PD who have a EOTech 512, Aimpoint Micro and a Nikon or FireField 1-4 x 24. I have asked each if I could shoot with each optic as well as the iron sights before I made a choice. I also have to buy my wife a ring of some sort before I can drop 500.00 or more on anything...

Nice build. To me, building the lower is the only way to go (because I'm particular about having the Vltor A5) but a complete upper is sometimes cheaper than buying the parts separately and saves you the hassle of gas block/FSB pinning, barrel nut torquing, etc.

What do you plan to do with it?

Initially, Hog hunting... but I also want to utilize it for HD (hopefully it is never used for that) and for my family to use at the range as much as possible. The bad thing is, I think I came down with the build Flu and already I am starting to look for the parts for the next build.

:) I ordered two lowers when I thought of my next build. Only reason I didn't get another LPK too is because I don't know what color I'll go with and I get the upgraded handles.

I like the milling of the radius between the rail sections on the upper. That's a nice touch I've never seen before.

I did not notice it until I got it all together. Riflegear will not say who they get their uppers from, but I know that Mega makes the lowers for them and doing a comparison it looks like a Mega upper. That could be wishful thinking since I got the Mega lower, but who knows
