I fondled a Colt Competition 18" rifle at the gun store yesterday, it was fantastic. If I didn't already have a solid rifle I would have strongly considered bringing it home. The most compelling feature is the fantastic trigger, but I can't seem to find much info on it. The rifle in question is here:

Anyone know if this is just a Colt tuned trigger group, or some kind of drop in like the Geissele? If I could get that trigger feel (and a good 15" rail) on my 6720 I'd be a happy camper.

I looked at the pictures on the link and you can see the "G" logo on the side of trigger which indicates Geissele. I'm guessing it's the SSA-E which is a 3.5# trigger and non adjustable.

According to Impact Guns it has an S3G trigger.

The Colt Pro CRP-18 uses the Geissele S3G trigger and the Colt Expert CRE-18 I believe uses the ALG ACT.

Thanks for the info! Guess I know what Santa will be bringing me this year.

They've replaced the S3G with a SSA-E that we've seen recently.
