Finished this rifle up last week thanks to Robb from VA arms installing the rail for me. My main goal with this was to build a quality, simple, and lightweight rifle. I feel this setup meets my needs nicely. I plan on adding a 2 moa T1 in a Larue mount and a Surefire M300A in a Haley Thorntail mount. Also waiting on a BCM comp.
Upper:
BCM mid length light weight 16"
Shaved down fsp to fit under rail
KAC URX III rail
KAC micro 200-600 meter sight
KAC URX panel kit
BCM BCG
BCM mod 4 charging handle
Lower:
Stag stripped lower
Daniel Defense lpk
VLTOR A5 buffer system
B5 SOPMOD
Magpul MOE +
Magpul trigger guard
Noveske receiver plate

Looks good and from your list you used only quality parts....should serve you well.
Any idea what the weight is...just curious

Thanks, I have not put it on a scale yet, but I plan on it soon.

How do you like the B5, I have really been interested in those? Very simple and well thought out, I like it.

I like the SOPMOD very much. Eagerly waiting for the B5 Bravo stock for this rifle though as I am going for lightweight and good balance. All my other rifles use the B5 SOPMOD and I can't speak more highly about it.
Good set up! Lightweights are my new infatuation.
Good parts make a good gun!!!
These light weight guns with the URX 3.1 keep showing up and looking good.

+1 I personally like the urx 3.1. Wish I would have found this site sooner:(
What do you think of that front flip sight?

I like it very much, but I can see how it might be a bit fragile if left up. To be honest, I don't intend to use it much at all once the T1 is on there. I do wish it worked like the other KAC sights in that it didn't lock up or down, but I don't think it will be an issue.
Whats the sight picture like? The front just looks a little strange to me but I have only seen pictures of it.

The actual sight is thinner than a standard A2 by a small amount. As far as sight radius, its slightly more than a mid length and slightly shorter than a rifle length. I like it, but as I said I expect to leave it folded down all the time. If you are looking for a rifle to use iron sights only, its my opinion the A2 front sight is the best.

I agree, Im just planning on building a dedicated varmit rifle and am trying to do my research. Thanks for the info and nice rifle!
Did you have a chance to weigh your set up? Looks great BTW...
