Buffer noise?

While dry firing today, I noticed a sliding type sound when I raised or lowered my AR. I broke down the rifle to inspect it and its coming from the buffer/stock area. It sounds like something is moving back and forth when I tilt the rifle. I don't recall hearing this earlier. I understand that the buffer is essentially a weight-spring set up and it may just be shifting, but is this normal?

Possibly the weights that are inside of the buffer?
