Sent my basic N4 upper to LWRC and got it back in less than a month (probably due to my pestering via email about another gun).

They sent back in a bag:

the original handguards and cap
Bolt carrier
gas tube
cam pin

I finally have some spare parts for my other AR's!

Slapped it on a Stag lower.

Only shot about 290 rounds of Prvi Partizan through it so far. No problems except an empty mag didn't hold the bolt open once.

This one seem to dent the case shoulders while pushing a round into the chamber also, but the dent is very slight, so I'll leave it alone if it continues to feed okay.

I'll leave it on this Stag lower for now. Will eventually get a proper Noveske lower or the Magpul lower if it ever becomes available.

Shot my 6920 along with this converted upper. With the supplied H2 buffer and spring the recoil was noticably sharper than my 6920, but the colt seemed to take at least twice as long to clean later...

Will update after I shoot it some more.
I shot like crap @ 50 yards BTW, offhand groups looked like shot-gun patterns. :o

That's f'ing schexy. I have a conversion as well, but it's built with a Colt 6320 takeoff barrel, as LWRC wasn't/isn't doing lightweight barrels as a factory option. Should they offer the CHF barrel in a .625 weight at some point, I may swap this one out, though...the advantages are worth it.

Finally shot another 456 rounds today (2 battle packs of prvi partizan and two 28 round mags of hornady 75 gr. TAP) so totals around 746 so far.

Feeding and ejecting was flawless...

...except that same pmag that wouldn't consistantly hold the bolt open after the last round (doesn't drop free either).

here's a pic of the BCG after.

not too dirty and still had plenty of lube. I think it could probably go a thousand rounds without additional lubrication.

Hey congrats on your piston conversion. You did right by going with LWRC. I think thier piston system is top notch. The best of luck with your new system.

I dunno. It actually took me weeks to make up my mind.
