We all know how rare 17rd 9mm M&P mags are right now. Has anyone successfully tried an alternative magazine that fits the M&P 9?
For example, I tried some EAA Witness 16rd Tangfolio mags in one and it fits, though not flush, and hand cycles. I haven't tried to fire a pistol with one of these mags yet. Of course, it will not be able to lock back on an empty mag since the slide-lock lever is not engaged by the follower in these mags.
Obviously, I would not choose a non OEM mag for HD or carry, but if it actually functions, these might be okay at the range.
