Took my new 9mm SBR to the range last night. Not a very good night as I experienced a lot of jams. Mostly FTF.

Here is my set up

RRA Factory 10.5" Upper
9mm Hammer, Buffer, Spring
Stag Lower and LPK
Hahn Dedicated Mag Block
RRA Polymer Magazines.

I only had 2 mags for it basically what happens is dropping a bolt will result in a round pushing up and jamming right above the chamber. Easing the bolt back a little and letting it go again chambers the round.

Ammo tried

IVI Nato Load, 147 Grain Federal and 147 Grain Rem +P

I'm thinking and maybe the combo of 9mm Buffer, RRA carrier is to heavy and slamming too hard on the round to push it up. I think I'm going to try Carabine buffer next.

Any opinions?

Someone posted elsewhere that he relieved the top of the mag-catch notch on his magazines so they sit lower. May help you. Although those polymer mags don't have the best reputation.

I'm trying to get some Colt 9mm magazines as well.

I ordered a pair of these (http://www.botachtactical.com/co9mm30ma.html) and they came without issue. Not generally a Botach fan, but it worked out this time. Going to order two more (thanks for reminding me).

C Products 9mm Mags worked flawlessly in my RR 9mm.

The Colt Mags I have jammed up everytime and are now for sale.
