Surefire G2 problem

Does anyone know if the led version of the G2 has different internals from the G2?

I'm asking cuz i switched the bulb from my led G2 to my surefire shotgunlight and the regular head to my G2. Now, my G2 just gets real hit and drains the batteries instantly, even with no light being thrown.

Should be the same. I had the normal G2 then just upgraded to the LED drop-in.
