Front sight base taper pin question

Probably a stupid question but can the taper pins be reused or should I get new ones?

Re-use them. Make sure there's no burrs from knocking them out. You can deburr them with a file or bench grinder.

Depends on the quality of the pins. Some deform easier than others. Try what you have and see how it works out.
