I have an opportunity to purchase a White Oak Armory 10.3" barrel with a 1/7.7 twist rate for a pistol/soon to be SBR build.

WOA makes exceptionaly accurate SS barrel but on a SBR is it even necessary or even prefered in any way?

Also the thought has crossed my mind that with the barrel being Stainless, would it wear even faster than norm because of the short length?

I was orignally looking at a DD 10.3 but the deal i can get on the WOA is hard to pass up.

Better is always better. New SS have been none to wear quite well. A good CL will last longer given the same quality. Do you shoot every weekend and shoot a lot. Otherwise, just get it. If you can shoot it out, good for you.

You may be surprised how accurate the little stubby can shoot. ;)

I doubt you'll be disappointed with the White Oak.

Do you have any plans to suppress it? If so, go with a Chromemoly as it will handle higher temps better than SS. Otherwise, SS is probably ok.

Good point.
