California AR-10

Does anyone have any tips for a California Legal AR-10? I'm aware POF is available and with the new gas piston rifle is probably my first choice. Is there anything better? I have also heard that AR-10s have reliability issues. Is that true and what can be done to fix that?

AR10 does not have any reliability issues. Here are your choices at the moment for CA:

1) Vulcan Hesse which will mate to an AR10. But is the last resort if you really want a Armalite Upper.
2) Fulton Armory (Fits all DPMS 308 Uppers)
3) LWRC SABR 308 (Gas Piston)
4) KWC (DPMS Based)
5) If you want an Armalite Upper, KWC will finish off a 80% receiver for you. (Expensive route)
6) JP LR308 (DPMS Based)
