This is my 2nd AR build and I decided I wanted to go the SBR route.
Im glad I acquired all the parts over the last few months and didnt get stuck trying to find stuff during this mess.

I was a little torn between an Mk18 upper and this 11.5" with URXII.
I decided I wanted the little extra rail estate in order to get my support hand out farther, I also get that little extra velocity.
I have a Surefire 212 suppressor pending for this as well.
I am a little disappointment in the ALG ACT, my PSA trigger feel cleaner than the ACT. In the future I will probably go with the QMS just to make sure I get a decent trigger.
The Mega upper and lower are great for the price.
The DD barrel is also a value I think when compared to a BCM or others especially with a pinned low pro gas block.
I think most of the other parts are pretty standard.
Enjoy!

Specs:
Lower:
Mega Forged Lower
PSA LPK w/o trigger group
ALG ACT Trigger

VCAS Padded Sling

Upper: (Assembled by Robb at VA Arms, great work)
Mega Forged Upper
DD 11.5" Gov Profile Barrel with pinned low pro gas block
DPMS Gas Tube
KAC URXII rail
Surefire 212 FH

Took it out to shoot yesterday. Fired roughly 150 rds.
IMI and Privi M193 and some WPA steel cased.

I ran the H2 buffer and Blue springco and had no issues even with the WPA.
So once the suppressor gets here the H3 might be in order.

But everything ran great, its a bit unbalanced with all that weight toward the rear. That took some getting used to.

I also dont like how fat the rail is when using the rail panels. My other AR has a Troy Alpha, which is damn skinny.

Looks sharp, man.

Why did you choose an SBR? To accommodate a reasonable overall length with the pending suppressor?

How do you know when to add more weight to the action to slow down the cycle?

What made you choose the Mega Forged lower?

Overall length/weight with the suppressor, and general handiness of an 11.5" without the can was appealing.
The hardest decision was muzzle break vs flash hider. The brake would save the can some wear, but I was afraid the blast would be too obnoxious without the can. We will see how much I shoot with out the can after I get it. If I find I rarely take it off then I may switch to the brake mount.

I have all different buffer weights laying around and I picked up a blue Sprinco to play with.
I just chose the H2 and Springco to start with and it ran with the weakest ammo I had. I should have threw in the H3, but I was short on time.

The Mega Lower was $107 at Riflegear, cheaper than most other options and known for good fit and finish (not that it matters) but for a registered lower I wanted a quality lower, it also has the tension screw incase I ever had a really loose upper I could snug it up,(again, I know it doesnt matter, but its piece of mind)
BTW the Mega upper is really snug on the lower without the tension screw.
All the pin holes were tight as well. In general I think there great uppers and lowers for the money.

That looks real nice how long did the paperwork take? I will be sending out my paperwork this week for a 9mm AR SBR and it looks like at least 6 months before I will have the weapon in my hands.

weird question i guess, why so many different colors?

^Furniture color, paint etc are a personal preference when outside of camo-necessity. Besides, he does only have FG furniture on a black weapon.
Saddlerocker: How is the grip tape holding up on the MOE?

Correct the furniture is all Foilage.

I really like the grip tape for the MOE grip, I use it on both my rifles, and dont like the feel without it anymore lol.
Never had an issue with it coming off or wearing out so far.

They are pre cut Decals, not homemade

EDIT:
And the stamp took the usual 6 months from pending date.

I like how the URXII rail looks with the 11.5" barrel. Where did you find that rail? I havent seen any instock for the last few months.

Have you shot it with your can on yet? Jw about gas issues, if you've had any, and what remedies you've used to fix any of those issues.

I wont have the can until March or April, but since its running stee cased with an H2 and Blue Springco now, I assume it will be pretty gassy.

I may run an H3, but I dont think im gonna mess with any of the other gas flow options.
