View Full Version : Rifle advice
Im looking to purchase a custom ar. Can the forum give some advice? I want a 1/9 twist, because I live in Illinois and cant have a sbr. But I want it to run out of the box. Sights, optics, tactical light everything must be included. What companies out there can do this?

Question for you, what does a 1/9 twist rate have to do with not being able to SBR it?
RRA offers a package that offers the light site and such. Any of the board active companies will also hook you up, without giving you the one size fits all approach that RRA offers.
MSTN
Adcofirearms
Denny's Guns
Are just three that come to mind, there are many more good guys around this forum who can hook you up.
ETA-canted spelling
Forgot to add in the 16" bbl part sorry
Are you looking for a SS or a CL barrel?

out of the box 1/9
Smith & Wesson M&P T
out of the box 1/9
Smith & Wesson M&P T
Agree as it has the TROY Rails and irons sights right out of the box.

I was looking for something a little more custom than that. Maybe something with a noveske bbl and a vltor mur.
Several of the dealers here can build you what you want. The first thing they're going to ask you is "what is your budget?" and the second thing is "what do you want to do with the rifle?"
Just like if you walk into the tool department at Home Depot and say "I need a hammer", the response is "what do you need to do with the hammer?" Guns are the same way.

I have Noveske 16" SS barrel and MUR in stock. The problem is that you mentioned that you wanted a 1/9 twist. Generally speaking, Noveske doesn't make a 1/9 (have to special order them).

That's a good point, and something I had forgotten about. I think you might be able to find a Wilson or something like that in 1:8, but not much 1:9.
We could build you a 1x9 Shaw 16" with whatever you want on it. PM me if you are intersted.
