Anybody else excited to get their hands on one?

From my understanding, the spokesperson from KRISS at SHOT said there was a guaranteed accuracy at 25m, 3.1 lb SA, 8.1lb DA and 17 cap mags for the full and 15 cap mags for the compact.

$1295

Made in Switz

Sounds like a Sig killer.

Doesn't sound like a SIG killer to me. I've seen pictures of that hunky bastard. It's like somebody went out of their way to stick as many sharp edges as you possibly can on a gun. Plus in 2013 they're designing a metal framed pistol, in DA/SA, based on the CZ-75 design?

I believe you're mistaken. Here's an image of it.

I don't see any extra sharp edges.

I take back the sharp edges thing. That picture was a lot different than the one I saw.

Not relevant to the subject at hand, but as an aside, I had a 1990's vintage Sphinx a few years back and the best way I can describe the craftsmanship is to compare it to one of the top 1911 custom makers.
Bar none, it was the smoothest action of any weapon I have even owned (which covers a lot of ground, as I am a gun whore).
That price sounds like a lot, but by the time you buy a pistol new and then send it to a top flight gunsmith...

This does look interesting, not sure the marketplace needs it though. HK, Sig and Glock fill all my needs. I'd love to get my hands on one though.

Since the Sphix 3000 is made of unobtanium, I'm questioning how available they will actually be.

That said. My next handgun purchase will probably be an all-steel CZ (or variant of it). All of the polymer guns are leaving too much to be desired for me.

I heard that due to very high demand in Europe, Kriss has no plans to import Sphinx pistols into the US anytime soon.

I've heard of them and kinda wanted to try one out but $1295? yikes!! think maybe it'll go for $900 or $1,000??

Like the Sig P210 I think it was, nice gun and I'd love to get my mitts on one but for two grand think I'll go get something else.....

*ETA*

Also worth noting the lower half is not polymer but half aluminum and half poly...the upper bit is metal and the grip section is poly, really an odd set up if you ask me.

Absolutely NOT at that price point (if accurate). Not even for half that!

10lb DA pull? Fuq that. Paying 1200 for a CZ clone europistol only means one thing.
