View Full Version : Shadow Ops Lower
I used the magical orange search button, but didn't come up with anything.
I ordered one today after they popped up in the "where can I get it thread" and wanted to know if anyone has anything good/bad/neutral to say about their company or products.
I got my confirmation email for my order immediately after purchase. Being able to design my own roll mark is a cool feature. We'll have to wait and see what pans out regarding their "upgrades" and "deal coin"
For $150, I figure its definitely worth a shot.
Thanks again tgizzard for the heads up.
Edit - transaction was waaaay easier and less irritating than that Aero mess last week. I'm glad I didn't end up getting one of those.

I'm curious about the "free billet upgrade."
Not a bad looking deal, I got in line.
looks like they sold 2100+ overnight last night, and are now sold out.

Billet isn't an upgrade
My understanding is that when your order comes up to be manufactured, you will have the option to upgrade your order to get a Billet Lower instead of a forged lower.
I have 2 on order, i hope it is all real
Billet is not an upgrade over forged. Forging is the superior process when it comes to making AR receivers

Maybe I'll see if I can swap my "upgrade" for a second "deal coin"
I took a gamble on these. Curious to see how it turns out.
Any ideas for a custom logo?

I'm on the list too, we'll see how it goes.

Agreed. Any company that calls billet an upgrade isn't getting any business from me. :sarcastic:
Anybody have any updates?
I cancelled my order a couple months ago. Goos luck.

Ha! Same here, I was just curious to see what the "deal coin" was all about and how the custom engraving turned out

I didn't think the orders would be ready until June.
Sorry to resurrect a dead thread but after 14 months of waiting, I had almost forgotten that I had ordered this during the lower craze. My FFL called me the other day and told me they had a lower waiting for me. I went for the billet and I will have to say, it is very nice. Very clean looking with no rollmark and very subtle markings. I would have cancelled my order had I remembered placing it, but now I'm glad that I didn't. I'll take some pics if anyone wants to see it. Now I have to decide what I'm going to build off of it. I'm tempted to build another pistol but I feel like enough of a full-retard for owning two 7.5 inchers as is. Unless the hammer and trigger pin holes are out spec, everything seems fine. The finish is actually above average - very uniform, dark, and matte with not a single machining mark, ding, or any discolored spots. One thing is for sure though, I will NOT be ordering a matching billet upper from them - I'm too young and I have my whole life ahead of me.
Wow, what a wait! It took me a few replies to realize I was reading a year old thread.
Glad it all worked out for you.

Thanks, it was sort of like Christmas in March. It really is nice to have such a sterile and clean looking lower. I hate all of this over-engraved, laser-etched crap that so many companies feel is necessary to slap on their products. A company logo may be one thing, but I don't need my rail to remind me that my rifle is chambered for 5.56. So did anyone else get theirs?

After throwing a link to them up on the where can i get it thread last year during the "craze", I ended up cancelling my order. Looks like other people did as well. That was some wait for your lower, I had forgotten all about this company. I'd be interested in some pictures, just to satisfy my curiosity now.

Nice, clean looking lower. BTW - no problem at all having a matched set of ivory gripped 7.5" pistols in Texas, as long as you've got the appropriate leather to haul them!
Yeah from the pictures, it looks nice. Like you said, the test will be whether the hammer and trigger pin holes are in spec or not.
That is quite nice looking.
