Funny I was listening to a radio show today with an ex-SS agent who was also a beat cop prior to that, and he was asking what makes these politicians experts on what people need for self defense, and then I read this pile of crap quote from Biden that a double barrel shotgun is more effective for self defense than an [AR15] assault weapon. Biden has also recently claimed he took fire in Iraq, and heard a school shooting as it occurred from FIVE miles away while playing golf.


What makes a guy who spent a couple years as a lawyer, and then a politician from the 70's an expert on what people should use for self defense, and a double barrel shotgun....really? I used to shoot trap with a Beretta 682X which had O/U barrels, and I can't imagine being limited to TWO rounds then going through the very slow reload process a break action shotgun has.

Maybe the Secret Service agents assigned to him should be armed with O/U shotguns then. We sure wouldn't want them armed with those impractical, underpowered assault weapons.

If I had my own security detail I could probably get by with an O/U shotgun as well. I am somewhat surprised he missed the "you only need to rack a round" benefits of the pump shotgun since those never even need to be fired.

No no no. These coach guns aren't thrust from the hip which makes them better for self defense! You see, if a gun is thrust from the hip, there won't be anything left to eat on them deers, and the 2A is about Uncle Tommy's hunting rifle he gave you when you were 14.
