I heard that the newer Glock armorer manuals have factory recommended parts replacement intervals. Does anyone know if the factory recommended parts replacement interval for the Gen 3 9mm Glocks is publicly available?

And a link to an armorer's manual:

Most will say a recoil spring change every 5 thousand rounds other than that shoot it till something breaks- which may be a very long time. My 20+ year old 19 is shot a lot - I replace recoil spring every other year ( usually about 10k honestly) and it runs great. I guesstimate it has had about 70k through it since I have had it ( bought used) and never broke anything on it. This phenomenon of replacement intervals seems to be part of the Internet age. Prior to that rarely if ever did anyone replace anything on a gun unless it broke. In some respects I think it was better that way

On the Glock 22 I have replaced broken locking block pins, bent or broken slide stop/spring assemblies, night sights, magazine springs and on occasion complete magazines. On occasion a spring cup will get chewed up or lost during disassembly/assembly, so you might want to keep a set on hand. I haven't been replacing the recoil spring/guide rod assembly at 5,000 round intervals as recommended, but it would probably be a good idea.

Expect a handgun service life of 50,000-60,000 rounds with the .40 S&W models and over 100,000 rounds with the 9mm versions.
