I happened to pick up a Noveske Gen 2 lower (chainsaw and let me say from being a "blem" this thing is amazing) from joeboboutfitters.com right before the madness along with a JP lower parts kit (-) fcg with the intent of putting a Geissele in it.

The lines you see are from tape that I took off, I was going to install the bolt catch roll pin but decided to wait. The only blem I can find is a small nic by the rear take down hole at about 3:30.

Just some info:

Right now, I have two BCM Middies, one 16" and one 14.5". I am completely happy with them and they are great rifles. I got the Noveske lower to start as a gift to myself for graduating college here in a couple weeks.

The painted one has about 8k through it in a couple years and the other one I just finished so it only has about 200.

That is why I ask this, what BCG would be the best fit for a Noveske Afgan barrel?

Can you even buy Noveske BCG's without purchasing a whole rifle? If you can, I can't find them. I was thinking something like a Young's Manf or Fail Zero. I had this idea that I wanted it to be NiB or chromed but not a necessity.

Just so everyone knows, I realize I cannot easily get any BCG right now, this is for later on when things calm down. Right now I am just trying to save away money and start thinking about how this build is going to go.

The two BCM rifles I have, one has an Aimpoint Micro and the other will wear the same when funds allow. So my other thoughts are as follows:

-Geissele SD-E
-Magpul UBR
-Magpul MIAD
-H2 buffer and Sprinco Spring
-Troy Flip Ups
-Geissele 13.5" rail
-Noveske Afgan 14.5" Barrel with pinned Surefire Break (I have the surefire flash-hider on my other rifles so this will keep it consistent for a can in the future)
-Vickers Sling
-Mini Scout light w/ tape switch
-BCG undetermined
-Noveske/Vltor MUR upper receiver
-Maybe a 4x Acog or 1x4 since my others have Aimpoints

I am not opposed to throwing another Aimpoint on it actually. Most shooting will be done inside 200 and I can hit a 6" steel pretty decent with the 4moa Aimpoint. I just really want to be able to take advantage of the Noveske's accuracy so that is why I was going to maybe put some magnified glass on it.

That's basically it. Let me know if you have any suggestions from having a Noveske in the past or if you like what you see. There is plenty of time to change and nothing is set in stone.

You have a great list of parts and any quality BCG will work fine.

Thanks, I've thought a lot about it. I think it will turn out to be a great rifle. I will definitely be shooting it A LOT. :D

Let me partly rephrase the question. If you could get any BCG, money isn't an issue, what would YOU throw in a Noveske build with top quality parts?

Yeah that list does look pretty solid. And yes, Noveske doe sell BCG's separately, both on their website and a few dealers (I think dsgarms). Of course, no one has them at the moment though. I am very heavily considering redoing my factory build and using the SMR as well, I think it'd look awesome with the MUR upper and Gen II lower. Plus, I'd shave 10 ounces and gain a whole lot more real estate.

BCM, Daniel Defense, or LMT would be my choice. You could also get a Colt BCG but its 325 from SA.

This will all be bought after the craziness assuming it does go away.

Oh ok, thanks. I didn't realize that.

Your consideration sounds like a good option. I can't say for sure as I haven't had one but I would shoot it. :D

My Noveske has their factory BCG. I'd stick with them, or BCM, LMT, DD, or Colt. I don't have any experience with the coated carriers out there.

If Noveske sells them separately like I just found out I will likely just stick with them. Thanks for the help.

I would buy the barrel with a matched bolt from Noveske and get a carrier and the rest of the bcg parts from any of the good mfg.
