Looking for advice from other DIYers.

My mp used to be my carry piece. To aid in concealment i shortened the grips and mags. Im in MA so it didnt effect capacity.

Heres how it came out. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/27/e5emepuj.jpg

I now carry my newly aquired 1911 so the MP is mostly just for plinking. I was considering getting the grip back to normal.

Heres a pic with with a normal size mag in. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/27/uhy7emuj.jpg

I can buy new backstraps, but smith doesnt offer new frames.

I was curious if its possible if I made some sort of mold and lengthen the grips using some sort of epoxy.

Do you think its possible? Will it be strong?

It is possible, however it will be extremely time consuming and very risky (won't be nearly as structurally sound). In my opinion you'd be better off buying a new M&P if you want the normal grip back.
