Hi, new to this forum and have been doing some searching about BCM bcg's and on there website they list all the parts in the bcg and there is an o-ring listed. I don't have an o-ring in my colt bcg unless I haven't seen it in the last 10 yrs that I have owned it. What is the o-ring for and were does it go?

It goes around the extractor spring. There's multiple discussions on here about the pros/cons of using it.

If you're not having extraction problems, I wouldn't use it.

I have Colt and BCM bolts in factory Colt and BCM uppers and have never had any problems without the O ring.

All my uppers are 14.5" carbine gas...

Yeah, thanks for the reply I just found the orange search button at the top of the page and figured it out.

I also had the same queston recently. I had just scored a BCM Bcg and thanks to these forums I found the answer. It goes on the extractor if it's needed. Do your homework in these forums and you'll find your answer. I'm not experienced enough with these to offer advice.

I also scored a BCM bcg along with a new BCM M4 upper. Taking my Colt 20" upper off The lower and putting a BCM gen 2 colapsible stock on it.
