can I buy an lower that already has the pistol buffer on it to make it into an ar pistol legally?

If not, what is the only legal way to turn the lmt lower into a pistol

why would you want to sully to good name of a purpose driven company like LMT by turning one of their lowers into a useless toy?

aside from that.

you would have to order a stripped, never assembled LMT lower (which i am not sure are available under the LMT branding) and register it as a pistol. Once a lower has had a rifle stock on it, it may not be registered as a pistol.
