The very light and thin minimalist plate offered by Renegade is a great setup for those that does not require a multiple hit plate. For user like me that only might use a plate carrier during a carbine class, this is the best alternative to carry a full on plate for range safety use. even if you work a shoot house class, which requires the student to have body armor, it can stop all handgun rounds or even take up to one 308 hit with an injunction soft armor backing both front and rear set up weight less than one full plate and the thickness is cut by half....
