What do I have here? It's super lightweight and seems to be fired very little. Any info on desirability or value?

Thanks!

Colt SP1 carbine uppper... chrome bore 1/12 twist

It's worth what you can get someone to pay for it in todays market...

You can't use it on a milspec lower without a off set bushing for the front pivot pin...

Oh wow, thanks for the info guys.

Blue book says $2700-$2900 for the complete gun?! Does that sound about right?

out of line... A SP1 carbine probally REALLY worth $1500 and thats with the box and all the shit that came with it... Thats what I'd value it at...
I kind of laugh at what people are asking for AR's today...
I bought my first AR in 1980 when i turned 18 it was a Carbine and it was under $500 out the door with a case of ammo...
Times have changed...

That upper is worth somewhere around $600 to $800 right now.

The flash hider has been removed and the split washer has been replaced with a peel washer.

$500 in 1980 dollars is $1343 in 2011 dollars. So it sounds like you got a good deal, but it's not like today's prices are comparable to what you paid.
