I've had my G27 for a little over a month and haven't had the opportunity to fire it. Today that changed. I love this little gun. For a sub-compact in a .40 cal it isn't nearly as harsh as I'd anticipated. I still need lots of practice but at 7 yards I was holding 6" groups. Not great but it's a beginning. Perfectly useful as a CCW.

You have some versatility with the 27. With it you can use a Glk 357 Sig bll of the same length or install a 9mm conversion bll. I used a LoneWolf conversion bll with no problems. Experts recommend using a conversion bll for practice only. The factory 357 sig bll is readily available from suppliers.

I have the 26. They are great weapons. I purchased mine late 2012, only have a little over 600 rounds through it, but its one of my favorite handguns now. I prefer 9mm, but I really want to rent a G27 just to try it.

My Gen4 27 shoots great. The recoil is very manageable with the 165 Gold Dots as my carry load. The trigger right out of the box felt better than my Gen2 19 that has a couple of thousand rounds through it. Happy shooting.

My Gen 27 is one of my favorite guns. It carries and shoots extremely well

Been carrying my G27 (Gen 3) daily in the winter months. I carry with 180 gr. Gold Dot. Excellent pistol. I used it in IDPA competition for a few matches when I first got it. More perceived recoil than the G26, but it works fine for me. Enjoy.

I have a G32 barrel in my 27, I like the 357 sig better than the .40

Got a good source for a G32 barrel? And, forgive my ignorance, but I wouldn't need to trade out my magazine would I? Also, what's the 357 sig equivalent for my G23?

Thanks,
Kevin

G32 barrels can be found at KKM, Glockstore (OEM), Lone Wolf Dist. Or any number of places online. I prefer Glock OEM barrels for converting a pistol that I might carry for SD.

No need to trade out magazines. A .40 caliber mag will work just fine with .357. Purists will recommend getting dedicated .357 mags, but you don't HAVE to have them.

A Glock 32 is the exact same size, weight and dimensions as a G23, but chambered in .357 SIG.

All my Glock 357s have 40 barrels in them, esp the G33. That being said, conversion is easy. Make sure that you have the reinforced receiver (transitional gen2 or gen3) if converting, else you beat the receiver to death. Replace the RSA at regular intervals. Mags work between calibers.

Size equivalencies... G22=G31, G23=G32, G27=G33. While the compact barrels (32) will work in the subs (33), it is not recommended by the manufacturer.

I always shot my G27 a little better than my G22 for some reason. I hated the feel of the short grip heel in my hand, but it shot well.

The 27 is great. I have been carrying one on and off for 5 years now. Every time I try something different I go back to the 27. I am currently rocking an OD 27 I picked up a few years ago, before glock discontinued the OD.

I got mine at Glockparts.com, for my M&P I ordered directly from S&W. The Glock mags should work fine. But I would range test them to be sure before CCD'ing it. The S&W are labeled 357/.40

The G27 is my favorite Glock .40 and my daily carry. For some reason I shoot it more accurately than my G23 and about the same as my G22. The G22 is Gen2, the G23s are Gen3 and the G27 is Gen4. I may have to look into a Gen4 G23 just to see how it shoots, but I really like the large grip insert for the G27. Oh yeah, they even got the front finger grove at the right spot for larger fingers whereas the G23 is cramped. Love the G27. It shoots fine with my G23 aftermarket 9mm and .40 barrels (and OEM .40 bbl) at the range.

I have a Gen4 '27 as an EDC gun. I felt as though using magpul speedplates on the 9rd mags gave me a lot more control over the weapon. I also have a set of iDots on it and carry it in a VG2.

I do like the interchangeability with my '32. I do plan on changing out the '32 barrel for a .40 version as I have a lot more .40 ammo than .357 ammo.

Any Idea why? I haven't had any problems, but that doesn't mean one can't be just around the corner.

I've never been a fan of the subcompacts, but when I first shot a G27 I was rather impressed. Not to bad on the recoil and very accurate.
