Is there any real value in replacing a Stag bolt carrier (with properly staked key) with something like an LMT or another top-flight manufacturer?

For that matter does that hold true for other parts?

Thanks.

If the carrier is staked properly and functioning properly, I see no reason to replace the carrier.

If its staked correctly, just take care of it. Run it til it breaks, then get a better one. Save or spend your money on something else you need.

But on the other hand Ar's are like a addiction you just can't help yourself.its like a car add a part for performance.I tend to go more stock.but there are plenty of gagets to add to do better thing like the bonic man we can rebuild him ,make it faster and stronger.AGHHHH when will the madness stop:eek: .............................................Sorry to much caffine this morning:o

The Stag carrier is a good quality part their only downfall is what they believe is adequate staking. Stake it correctly and it will probably last you forever.
