View Full Version : Sig P938 Trigger Options

I really like the size of the Sig P938 9mm. Especially since there are now kommunist states that only allow 7-round magazines that I may not have any option but to travel through.

What I do not like is it is a SA pistol that can only be carried "Locked-and-Cocked". So does anyone know if Sig (or any other firm) offers a RELIABLE DA/SA or DAO trigger option for this pistol?

I've searching all over the errornet without luck. Thanks in advanced.

Seems it is closer to DAO with thumb safety than SA, with the 8lbs. trigger pull. Would see if the problems of the first batches are all settled.

My apologies, but I don't understand the above comment. The two I have handled did not seem to have an 8lb pull and had SINGLE ACTION triggers only.

Am I missing something?

Maybe just how the one I handled felt. It is listed as 7.5-8.5lbs pull and seemed to have more take-up than a 1911 trigger.

Necropost, but with info.

This company does triggers: http://partsproduction.com/Trigger.htm
They've got links there on how to replace as well.

As for the trigger pull weight, I think what Danjojowas saying is that the trigger pull was so heavy it felt like a DA. But to be clear the P938 is SAO. In order to get the pull weight down you can do a few things. I would suggest googling for the details of the options, but here is a basic example that covers the scope HERE (http://sigtalk.com/sig-sauer-pistols/4479-trigger-job-p938.html)

Also it is safe to carry cocked and locked. I carry a P238 that way. No different than a 1911 which I've done rather comfortably. In fact, so comfortable I am the opposite of folks in that I don't feel comfortable carrying a DA with one in the chamber. How's that for weird?
