I have the non-LE model and it is holding up just fine. It is constantly getting moved from the trunk of my patrol car to my SUV in addition to whenever I wear it and there hasnt been an issue with it at all.

I have been using an Eagle Plate Carrier w/Cummerbund for the past couple years now and I love it. Like NCPatrolAR mine is also constantly getting moved from vehicle to vehicle, when it is not being worn. The quality of the Eagle products is the best out there.

It is also very versatile. You can use it with the cummerbund or take the cummerbund off and use the fastex buckles. You won't be disappointed with the purchase.

I have been working with a spartan 2. It's made by eagle but TAG is the distributer.

For the Eagle plate carrier with cumberbund, is there another advantage to having the cumberbund besides more real estate for Pals webbing? Or is there another reason for having the cumberbund?

Does the cumberbund ever slip down in the back, off the rear plate?

Thanks.

Yes,
you can put both 3A soft armor and side plates in the cummerbund, it also keeps the carrier from bouncing/sliding around when moving as well.

The cummerbund passes through a tunnel behind the outside layer of the rear plate carrier. This allows it to be adjusted, and keeps it from falling down. Also allows it to be removed if you want to slick it up for running with just the plates.

Also of note, I have more Eagle PC-W/CB in stock right now than I have had for several months.

Do these work well with a standard backpack, or do the plate carrier straps get in the way?

I hate having tons of straps and clips and stuff on my shoulders, getting in the way of shouldering my rifle.

get a MAP..best of both worlds :)

Anyone else have pics of their Eagle Plate carrier w/cumberbund set-ups. Looking to get one for work (LE) as an "Active Shooer" set up, but want some ideas first. Likes/Dislikes, etc. :)

If you are looking to use it for strictly AS duties..... I'd probably drop the cumberbund for speed in donning.

NCPatrolAR,

How many mags do you carry on your set up?Any likes/dislikes other than the removing the cumberbund. I have a Blackhawk Commando chest harness right now, but it just doesn't work for me, but until I find another option, it will do.

3 AR mags, 18 rounds of buck, 1 smoke, and a BOK. I really like the rig overall and found it to be one of the best plate carriers I've messed with to date.

I had to resurrect this thread because I just got one of these.
This is the best damn plate carrier on the market as far as I'm concerned (YMMV).
I own a DBT FAPC and HSG Waasatch, I've used a Paraclete carrier. The Eagle MOLLE Plate Carrier w/ cummerbund is higher quality, more thought out, more adaptable, and more comfortable than all the rest.
I currently have Level IV plates in mine, but I have the level IIIA soft armor inserts (front, back, and cummerbund panels) inbound.
Plug: Triad has the soft armor which is made for this vest.
I couldn't be happier with a plate carrier.

I use the Eagle as my High Threat carrier. I replaced the cord that holds the cummerbund with the elastic thin bungie cord, like on some backpacks, so when you pull the cummerbund to the front it cinches up tight. I put the same cord in the velcro tabs and the mesh pockets to hold mbitrs/152 or Motorola's so they are secure and tight against the body. I usually carry 4 mags on the rig and two pistol mags. Depending on the AO I have a few small pouches for bangs, 40mm, e&e kit on the body etc. that I change depending on what is the mission for the day. I have a few extra cummerbunds set up for SAW, 40mm, and Every Day M4Carry.
Over all it is a great set up, and for low pro I use the BAE eclipse.
