Ken Hackathorn’s Two (2) Day Home Defense Course

Ken Hackathorn designed this unique course. Over the past few years, he personally trained the instructors of Castle Defense to conduct this
course conveying his principles and emphasis on a defensive mindset and adept weapons handling. This course covers the fundamentals of protecting
you and your family in your home. This course helps the student recognize and develop the defensive mindset necessary should they find their family
in danger at home and law enforcement cannot be reach the homeowner in time to avoid death or injury. How do you clear a room, a floor, or your entire home?
How do you defend yourself against multiple attackers in your home? This course puts the student’s square range marksmanship skills to the test in a more
realistic scenario—the home. Students are placed in supervised, live fire, simulations using a multi-room shoot house during both days of the class.
Students learn to apply these principles in low-light scenarios during the first evening. Class size is limited to twelve (14) students. Students are expected to
be proficient with their handgun and demonstrate safe firearm handling skills. Pistol caliber carbines are optional. Students will have an opportunity
to use a pistol caliber carbine in the house to observe the strengths and weaknesses of a long gun in a house.
