I use one of these (but they aren't available anymore).

It's probably not very tight. Heat it up with a hairdryer or heatgun and use a strap wrench.

This is why I'd always get in trouble on TOS for recommending people NOT BUILD their first AR. But what do I know?

I recommend the same thing, and people usually don't listen to me. I think it's a good idea to learn how to run one before they learn how to build one.
I'm not sure if he built this one or bought it with the castle nut on backwards. :confused:

Thanks for catching that. I was the one put it on backwards, don't blame CMMG.
