We held three very successful AK classes last year.

***Vickers Tactical sponsors will be providing free give a ways that will be used as prizes during the class. ***
Larry will be bringing several different AK's to the class for everybody to check out.
Larry will also be bringing an authentic German WWII StG43/MP43 Sturmgewehr from his personal collection for everyone to examine and shoot (limited amount of shooting).
Please contact me at photaling10@verizon.net or M4carbine.net PM if you would like to attend.
I'm in, please put me on the list.
I missed this last year, although one of my AKs made it to all three classes, but I will not miss it this year.

For those who are looking to learn more about the AK platform, this class is invaluable.
Plus, LAV might even let you shoot the STMG-44....which is worth the price of admission on it's own.
If you've done lots of training with the AR and want a challenge, borrow an AK and try this class. The time you spend on the short bus will be enlightening. ;)
Class was excellent for anyone who didn't take and are contemplating. Hell of a drive from Mich. but was worth it. ....even after the $450 dollar ticket. ;p
I'd probably even take it again if I wasn't doing low light two weeks prior.

Gents,
if you are thinking about broadening your horizons and learning how to run an AK this is the class, i only wish one of the gun rags, i mean gun magazines would cover this class. I've read several gun rags telling great war stories about other classes that just reading the article i knew were bs after taking Lav's class. Later!

This class is THE class to take to learn to run your AK!
I will be returning. Anyone else?
No way in hell I would miss it.
The AK class is one of my favorite classes.
How often does anybody get to handle an authentic Stg43/MP43 Sturmgewehr?
See you in the class.
FYI: Just a few open seats are available for this class. Please contact me if you would like to attend.
This surely looks like the place to be at the end of May! I'll have to make the drive up from sunny florida and get some quality time with my AK... :D

This year I plan on running a Arsenal 106CR SBR (AK102 clone) with an Ultimak rail and Aimpoint Micro - similar to a Jay C. setup - we'll see how it shakes out-
It may be the ideal combo provided it runs (we know how AK's can be in 5.56mm)
this is one of my favorite classes and i look forward to it again this year
be safe

Larry,
I'm planning on running my 107CR (provided my SBR paperwork comes back from the ATF and I can get it to Chris Bulter in time) with an Ultimak rail and a regular Aimpoint.
I'm really looking forward to this class.

It's not every day that Larry Vickers says he's going to set his AK up like you do!

Hmm... maybe I'm onto something! ;)
Larry, I think that combo will run great. I am tweaking the above gun (I may possibly switch to the 5.45mm AK-105 platform) with some lessons learned - I'll keep you updated.
Damn, I need to try and make it down for at least one day of an AK class this year...

All I can say is that I'm honored that LAV thinks enough of my setup to adopt it. Taking his first AK class was instrumental in the learning curve for the configuration.
If you attend I will....;)

You'll be the first to know - right after my wife!!
I'll be old school and run irons on the Overland and Henderson Khyber. Mainly because I haven't set up an Ultimak and Micro on one yet.
That's a nice set up Jay

I can make that happen.
This class is going to be a blast. I don't get a chance to run the AK as much so it'll be more of a challenge.

Very nice! I can't wait for the May class. I'm bringing my SBR'd 107CR and my Arsenal Inc Classic milled gun.
FYI: I'm down to the last 2-3 available seats for the class. Please contact me if you would like to attend.
This is the only scheduled Vickers Tactical AK Weapons Series class for 2008.
I have been replying to emails & PM's all day.
If you contacted me about attending this class and did not hear back from me, please let me know.
FYI: I will be sending out final payment reminders to everyone over the next few days for this class so it's time to get ready. If you need the number for CC payments again please just let me know.
I will also be including directions to the range, start time, etc info to everybody.
I have the feeling this is going to be an outstanding class.

I'm probably going to stay at the Hampton Inn again. It was pretty good last time I was in South Hill.

...speaking of neat toys, aside from Mr. Vickers's STMG and Templar's cool Czech rifle, does anyone else know of interesting toys that will show up? There were a LOT of cool toys at the inaugural AK course but I didn't bring ammo for any of them. :(
FYI:
This class is now full.
I also got the final payment reminder, start time, and range directions email sent out this morning. If you signed up but did not receive this email please contact me ASAP.

Of course - whatcha got?
p.s. I got your voice mail about the sling - I will have a couple with me to trade.
Slings, somebody mention slings? Total PIA to attach my Vickers sling to the front of the AK - Almost had to do some magic with 550 cord.
PS - I am doing the 2 caliber thing as well - I love preloading twice the mags!
:D
Paranoia around backups will payoff one of these days.

If'n you're looking for brews with your dinner, the Applebees down the road on 58 East is probably the safest bet.

Great class and I think we just beat the heat - as I write this in Fayetteville it is approx 100 degrees
Probably only do 1 again next year - this year was the 7.62 x 39mm year with very few Arsenal 106's at the class - mine may have been the only one
cheers
LAV
I agree on the heat, last weekend was nice compared to this weekend. I looked at the window thermometer alil while ago it said 101, thats down from the 103 I saw on it earlier this afternoon. Supposed to be the same thing tomorrow, and next week.
I hope for cooler weather come Sept.
