Did not find a recent thread on this...curious where you folks conceal carry majority of time. Have been trying out different locations this winter.

I carry my CZ 75 SP-01Tactical .40 in a blackhawk holster IWB in the middle of my back (6 o'clock) during the summer. When its cold and I wear a jacket I carry and OWB blade tech kydex carbon fiber wrapped holster with tec lock at 3.30It allows me to carry my weapon with my insight m6x tac light.

I can't do the 3 o'clock thing. With the gun I currently carry it's very obvious something's there even with my shirt untucked. I have to move my holster/gun further around the side to the 4 o'clock, 4:30 position.

About 3-30. Tried AIWB but think I need a different holster to make it work.

I was thinking last night how I wanted to find a poll like this. I usually do my G19 in an SKD IWB holster at the 3. Since the INCOG came out though, I've been experimenting with AWB to see if I like it more. Some things are very beneficial for me, others are not. May have to get that holster to try it out.

About the 4:00 position. Usually my M&P9c in a crossbreed supertuck. Sometimes a Raven Concealment Phantom. I have those for other guns too, and while they are the highest quality, the crossbreed is the most comfortable.

I used to carry at 4 o'clock but the handle of my gun would print. I pull with my right hand so I bought a blackhawk IWB holster and now I carry it at 6 o'clock. I wear average shirts, not too baggy and I don't print. Just hard sometimes with a 4.6inch barrel. Lol

I carry a CZP01 and a compact 1911 at 3-4 in a Crossbreed Supertuck.

9mm. I don't have any .40 weapons and don't intend on buying any.

G17@4:00 no holster for the most part. I do however wear an ipsc rig inner Velcro belt. It holds it in place no matter what I'm doing.

No holster?!? That's interesting.

The gents who are doing AIWB, when you sit do you orientate the muzzle prior or just sit with how the holster/gun is when up and about?

I carry a Glock 27 switching between IWB and OWB depending on how I'm dressed. I carry at 3:30, any further back and it interferes when seated.

For whatever the reason, be it body shape or clothing selection, I have a hard time concealing even the tiniest blaster on my hip anywhere from 2:30 to 5 o'clock. I also don't like my gun behind my body. So that led me to AIWB. Started with a shitty leather holster that wasn't made for it but the location was perfect of carry was perfect. Fast to draw, stupid easy to conceal and I always know that no one is standing behind thinking it would be cheeky to grab my Glock. Then I got a CCC Shaggy with soft loops. Awesome holster and tucked the grip really well. Finally, it brings me to my current carry rig...

I comfortably carry my Glock 19 in a Dark Star Gear AIWB all day long and I'm not talking the "it shoots 1/2 MOA all day long" kind of all day long. Literally 8+ hours everyday. I only realize it's there when I try to tie my right shoe or pick up a stick while playing fetch with the pooch.

Just sit with it where it is. It's in the crease of my abdomen and thigh.

I want to try AIWB but I have to co to it to loose some weight. I don't see how I could do it with a gun. For skinny guys I think AIWB is the perfect carry location.

There's plenty of hefty gents carrying AIWB. I think a good holster makes the biggest difference. I mean if you have to lift the overhang to get to your gun, it could be problematic:laugh:

The bottom of my grip/mag prints when AIWB. And the first time I tried it, I bent down relatively quick and jammed my holster into my groin. Not fun.

M&P 9c in a N8 Tactical iwb at 1 o'clock.

Because im a smaller guy ( 5'9" 170) trying to carry a full size FNS-40 9 o'clock works best for me in my homemade kydex holster. When I move to 8 the butt sticks out too far.

G19 at 4:00-4:30 in a PSS holster IWB (ultimate package or whatever it's called). Wear it 12-16 hours a day, every day. Perfect.

Guys that carry at 6:00... do you train your draw regularly? SOB carry gives me the willies.

I either carry IWB at 5:00 (Ruger SR9c or Glock 23) or OWB at 3:30 (Walther PPQ 9mm or Glock 23).

What holster were you using?

SKD Belt Claw (http://www.skdtac.com/SKD-Tactical-Belt-Claw-IWB-Holster-p/rdt.209.htm). Definitely not designed for AIWB I'm sure.

Thank you, figuring out my size limit for AIWB...trying at 12:30 with full-size.

92fs or 92 compact IWB with a crossbreed supertuck, around 3:30-4:00. An awesome holster. Before it I used a comp tac infidel, was very uncomfortable and had to carry closer to 5:00 or it was pretty apparent

Galco kingtuk, g19 or 23. About 2:00. I have worn it to work(sitting at a computer), riding in the car and it's as comfortable as a pistol on your hip can be. I don't move the muzzle just falls on the outer part of my thigh, it has on occasion needed minor adjustment once sitting, but I am happy.

Most times I carry 2 guns

EDC:
I carry a 9mm Kahr CM9 in my front left pocket and a Full size M&P 9mm in a Dale Fricke Arch angel (AIWB) holster at 0100. Spare M&P magazine on left hip around 10:30-11

Rifle Hunting:
Glock 20 (10mm) in a Alaskan Guide chest holster

Archery: (In PA firearm needs to be concealed)
Glock 20 Raven IWB at 03:30

Battle Belt:
Full size M&P 9mm/.45 acp at 0300

One way to help with printing with AIWB holsters is to put foam spacer on the bottom of the holster. This tilts the top of the holster closer to the body. Doesn't fix groin pain though, sorry.

Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe at 4:00. Easily the most comfortable holster I have ever worn. Well worth the money.

4 o'clock with PPS or PPQ in Raven holsters. Have evaluated AIWB a couple of times, but always end up finding it less comfortable and harder to conceal despite seeming like a more efficient draw.

I carry a Glock 17 (M&P for a while as well as a 1911) just a hair behind 3 o'clock, maybe 3:30. I carry inside the waistband in a Comp-Tac or more often outside the waistband.

I'm only about 175 and 5'9" and wear a 32, but I can very easily conceal any of those handguns in just jeans and a t-shirt. Not sure if it's confidence or the way I carry myself, but I've never had an issue. I am considering a Glock 19 though just because it might print a little less when bending over, for example, but still not sure.

I'm in desperate need of a new Kydex holster for my Glock without a light, so I'll soon be carrying in a Raven or Contact Concealment, most likely.

AIWB in a Don Hume H715 currently but still trying a different holster every month to see what works best. Next one I am going to try OWB with a Raven. Also have a Crossbreed Super Tuck that I wear about 330-400. Different holsters have different uses but AIWB so far is the most comfortable for me.

I like 3:30 most of the time. In a car I prefer AIWB as I can access it and the seat bolsters are not pushing on it.

4 o'clock IWB with my M&P 9c. If I am going light & carrying my Ruger LCP, I pocket carry in a rear pocket with a leather holster that prints like a wallet.

I carry a M&P9FS in a kydex OWB holster at 3 o'clock. I live in an open carry state and it doesn't really matter if I print. No one really cares out here anyway so I do what is most comfortable and convenient.
